Tamarind is a Sweet & Tangy Fruit widely used in all South East Asian Cuisines . It’s a very Large Tree with dense branches .A fully grown up tree may reach upto 8 ft height . Every season the Tamarind Trees bear a Curved fruit around all branches . The fruit pods are covered by a thick shell cover , inside which is the Fruit. Each pod has 2 to 12 seeds which are enveloped with the Tamarind skin & Sticky Pulp . It is the Sticky Pulp over the Tamarind fruit that is most essential & useful & which gives the peculiar Sour taste.
